Nominet is grateful to everyone who responded to the initial consultation on the review of the .uk Registrar Agreement (RA) which closed on 7 June.

We asked for views on the existing arrangements and suggestions for potential improvements to the agreement which covers the commercial relationship between Nominet and its .uk registrars.

A number of broad themes emerged from the feedback from a range of stakeholders. These included the importance of a trusted .uk brand, the need to ensure the RA remains simple and proportionate, the importance of raising industry standards, and of maintaining Nominet’s neutrality.

A report of the feedback received has now been published.

As the next step in the process, Nominet will publish, at the end of July, a set of draft proposals for further stakeholder consultation.
